The hammer repeatedly smashes downwards whilst rotating 360 degrees. Unfortunately, it never hits any of the 12 nails but only hits the gaps between the nails. Mimicking the failure of will in counterproductive situation, the metaphorical failure of hammer allows us to break away from the first-person perspective and re-appreciate the humor in failure, resolving the heaviness inside the issue to realize self-mockery.

In the second version, instead of never hitting the nails, once the nails touch the hammer, a small flag with a checkmark on it will be pushed out. A tension is constituted between the bright red colored flag implying mission accomplished and the unscathed nails, exaggerating the elaborately designed humor of failure without any offense.
